2026 DownEaster Hopper Covers

DownEaster Manufacturing offers hopper covers for stainless steel sand and salt spreaders. Constructed from heavy-duty, thermo-formed HDPE (high-density polyethylene), these covers provide years of reliable use without cracking or fading- unlike traditional ABS plastic covers.

The hinged design doubles as a spill guard when loading material into a standard pickup truck bed. Convenient rear-mounted handles, secured with a single centrally mounted bungee strap, make operations simple and safe during transport. Six stainless steel hinges features a double top-bend design to fit over the side plate, with two 1/4" holes to drill per hinge.

These covers are compatible with a front spill shield unless other factory fit-up arrangements are specified.

Available on 1.5 to 2.5 yard and 3.1 to 6.0 yard series sanders
